Narconon Hastings
Our residential facility is located in St. Leonards-on-Sea, near
Hastings and provides space for 40 students. The fully trained staff
approach each student as an individual with the care and support
necessary to ensure they make it through the programme.
This Tudor mansion provides the perfect distraction free environment
for students to progress through the programme. In the relaxed and
comfortable atmosphere many friendships are built between students.
Facilities include a small gym, pool room, sun lounge, TV and video
room, all based in beautifully kept gardens.
Narconon St. Leonards-on-Sea Grand Opening
The Grand Opening of Narconon St. Leonards-on-Sea took place on
March 5th, 2005. Paul Dolan (Executive Director) introduced the
first speaker, Daniel Galvin Jr., hair colourist to the stars. He
completed the Narconon program in the U.S. five years ago and described,
quite emotionally, how it saved his life.

Said Daniel: "Through drugs I had lost everything--the people
I loved, my integrity, my work group, everything! Since doing the
Narconon program with the sauna and courses under my belt, it has
allowed me to earn back my integrity, make up the damage to the
people I had hurt, and really achieve my optimum business and social
objectives."
Geoffrey Davis, Chairman of the National Drug Prevention Alliance,
validated the accomplishments of the Narconon®
network over the years and his joy in seeing this new facility opening.
"The charity I represent, the National Drug Prevention Alliance,
has followed and morally supported the journey to today's Narconon
St. Leonards-on-Sea opening with interest and admiration."
In fact, he was so impressed with the programme that he expressed
an interest in setting up a Narconon centre in his own five-bedroom
house!

Andrew Loog Oldham, former manager of the Rolling Stones, shared
his story: "I was about three weeks away from dying when I
met some very special people who helped me get well enough to do
the detoxification programme, part of the method used by the Narconon
centres. The programme was an amazing experience for me personally.
It was a glorious seven weeks as the acid came out first, followed
by the coke, morphine derivatives, and inoculation poisons, as well
as the suntans and all the drugs of life."
A plaque was presented to Mike Holland, a community leader and
the landlord of the building, for all the help he had given. He
spoke about the very big changes he has seen in his son, who is
currently on the program. His plan is to set up a foundation in
Brighton to be able to enrol people at Narconon St. Leonards-on-Sea.
Stuart Earle, Mayor of Bexhill, (speaking on behalf of the Mayor
of Hastings) said, "I feel extremely humble and very emotional
when I have seen the successes that have been displayed here today...
Thank you for bringing me into your world because I was unaware,
and I feel very proud to stand here today and say welcome."
He also admired the professional building restoration and plans
to bring colleagues from his Council and members of the Rotary Club
to visit. Two Members of Parliament, including the MP for Brighton,
attended as well.
