Narconon of Georgia

Narconon of Georgia

Narconon Georgia opened its doors in 2002 to all addicts who were qualified for the Narconon program. Since 2002 it has serviced hundreds of clients and continues to enjoy a 70% success rate. Families of the Narconon clients also benefit from the program by attending free support classes and individual sessions.

Narconon takes a two- pronged approach in addressing these two aspects of addiction - physical and mental . First, the physical aspects of addiction are addressed through nutrition and detoxification. Upon completion, the person often experiences a resurgence and revitalization. His body feels good without the drugs and his mind has cleared up. He can now learn and is ready for the second aspect of the program, the social rehabilitation

techniques. Chronic drug abuse is associated with poor communication skills, financial difficulties, a detrimental system of values and attitudes, criminal behavior and poor comprehension of long-term goals. Narconon social rehabilitation steps nurture the development of interpersonal communication skills, personal values, integrity and individual responsibility - qualities that help keep one from ever doing drugs again. Because these skills are learned, Narconon clients are called students.

The Narconon Program addresses and handles each of these points in a manner that considers the particular needs of the individual client.
